Wood Fence Installation & Repair
(currently serving Hammond, Highland, & Griffith only)

Treated Pine on Steel Posts

Pressure treated pine is the most common and affordable fencing option. Built from chemically treated pine, this material is engineered to decrease the rate of wood decay and resist insect damage. After the wood dries out, painting or staining every 2-3 years gives the surface an extra layer of protection against the elements. Unfortunately, because pressure treated lumber is so inexpensive, it is very prone to shrinking, warping and splitting as it dries out. All of our wood fence options are built on hidden steel posts.

Cedar on Steel Posts

A step up from treated pine, Cedar is known for its red color and distinct smell and can be a beautiful option for improving your yard. We install 2 types of cedar: Incense Cedar and Western Red Cedar. Incense Cedar is slightly lighter in color and more prone to warping. Western Red Cedar is a high end lumber that typically has a deep, rich color, and is much less likely to warp. Both types have some natural resistance to rot and insect damage. However, it does still tend to split and crack as the lumber dries out. Staining helps to prolong the life and performance of a cedar fence. All of our wood fence options are built on hidden steel posts.

Steel & Aluminum Frame Gates

Gates are the first point of failure in wood fences. Regardless of how well a wood gate is framed, it will always need adjustment and has the possibility of warping or twisting over time. Steel and aluminum frames are an option to prevent that from happening. Aluminum frames (available covered in wood or in black) are for use in up to 12' wide double gates or 6' wide single gates. Steel frames are used in situations where a double gate over 12' wide is needed.
